The way we produce and process food is driving the destruction of nature. The complex food systems we have created are responsible for around a third of all global greenhouse gas emissions and drive deforestation in precious landscapes, threatening Indigenous communities and endangering wildlife.

Few of us stop to think about where the ingredients come from for the foods we enjoy, or how they are grown. Mighty Earth works across several commodities such as palm oil, cocoa, cashews, rubber, meat and soy.

We track deforestation and investigate supply chains to create and sustain pressure on the big agricultural companies with proven links to the destruction of Nature.

Our investigations have revealed that these companies and commodity traders still don’t have control of their supply chains, allowing deforestation to seep in through direct and indirect suppliers.

Our campaigns also target global retailers at the end of the supply chain, to cut ties with suppliers involved in deforestation and land grabbing, to ensure the products on supermarket shelves are not linked to deforestation.
