“Mighty Earth is a wise investment for philanthropists interested in protecting climate and forests.”

— Ben Goldsmith, Founder, UK Environmental Funders Network

A WILDER PLANET.

The goal of protecting Nature underpins all our work. It inspires and drives us to secure a future that allows life to flourish.

LANDSCAPES

We work across the globe to protect the most vulnerable landscapes threatened by deforestation, mining, logging and infrastructure projects. We’re pushing for systemic change where supply chains for the food we eat and the products we buy are based on protecting the earth and upholding human rights.

Mighty Earth is on a mission to create massive change. Now.

COMMUNITIES

We support Indigenous and local communities whose lives are threatened by deforestation and land grabbing.

Our global campaigns expose companies that threaten local communities; win recognition of their rights; and ensure that their voices are heard in the corridors of power.

Protecting nature means backing those who live in balance with it.

WILDLIFE

With a million species at risk of extinction, we are working hard to defend a living planet in this crucial decade of action. Every species on earth has a role to play in supporting a healthy planet, but human activity is destroying precious habitat and causing ecosystems to collapse. We depend on Nature for our survival, from the air we breathe, to the water we drink and the food we eat. Right now, it needs a helping hand.

We’re not just protecting nature, but life itself.

DEFORESTATION MONITORING

Mighty Earth uses innovative technology and data to reveal critical threats to wildlife nature, climate, and communities and mobilize our teams to drive solutions through campaigns and policy. We have created a “Rapid Response” satellite monitoring system to pinpoint deforestation in vulnerable locations. The aim is to stop a few hectares of deforestation becoming a few hundred. We let companies know we are watching, and we pressure them to act on deforestation reports.
