Tim is the Senior Associate for Grants and Finance at Mighty Earth. He is originally from Los Angeles but relocated to the Washington, DC. Metropolitan area in the late 90s. While he does miss sunny California, he has grown to love the District and the Chesapeake Bay! He brings 11 years of procurement and budget experience from his previous employment with the Department of Justice. He began there in the Pathways Student Program while working towards his Communications degree at Bowie State University. Upon graduation, Tim was hired as a contractor with the federal government, continuing to foster his financial experience.
Somewhere around 2015, Tim unearthed his love & passion for Nature, which has been instilled in him since he was 5 years old fishing with his grandfather. This led to his desire to get involved with local environmental organizations like The Anacostia Watershed Society and The Patuxent Research Refuge. Tim took it a step further and merged his work experience with his passion and began working at the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay; a local Non-profit that has been fighting for The Chesapeake for 50 Years.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys fishing, hiking, laughing, studying all things nature, creating video montages to build nostalgia, and just simply being outdoors.
