Sammy Herdman

Sammy Herdman is the Senior Campaigner for Climate, Food, and Agriculture. She runs campaigns in the United States to reduce methane emissions from food systems. Prior to joining Mighty Earth, Sammy developed several novel incentive and education programs to improve air quality while working for Colorado’s lead air quality planning organization, the Regional Air Quality Council. Before that, she worked for Environment America and the Natural Resources Defense Council, campaigning major corporations and legislators to reduce deforestation in global supply chains. Sammy has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Occidental College and a master’s degree in environmental policy from the University of Denver. When Sammy isn’t working, she’s probably camping, hiking, or snowboarding in the mountains of Colorado!
