Jurjen de Waal is the NL Mighty Earth director, and responsible for bringing Mighty Earth’s campaigns to The Netherlands. Jurjen is a passionate campaigner who has dedicated his live to creating a livable and equitable world and future for all.
Jurjen is an all-round senior campaigner with over a decade of experience in developing campaigns for just, sustainable, and healthy food systems. Jurjen has worked as a campaign manager for several leading nonprofit organizations like Milieudefensie (Friends of the Earth NL), foodwatch and Plastic Soup Foundation. Before Jurjen worked for Too Good To Go NL, a world leading social enterprise in the fight against food waste building a movement of waste warriors in The Netherlands.
Jurjen holds a master’s degree in Political Science, specializing in International Relations and Rzesource Management from the University of Amsterdam. Jurjen is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
