Daniel Kandy is a board member for Mighty Earth, Ltd., a global charitable entity based in the United Kingdom. He leads efforts at the intersection of nature and climate at the Minderoo Foundation. He previously served as the Director of Sustainable Landscapes with the US State Department, where he led the U.S. government’s international efforts to reduce emissions by halting and reversing global deforestation and acted as an advisor to Special Presidential Envoy John Kerry. Daniel has represented the United States in international climate negotiations on carbon markets, adaptation, and climate finance. He has served in advisory roles on global climate finance and carbon market trust funds and incubators, including with the World Bank, the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, and ADM Capital. Daniel received a master’s degree in public policy and climate science from Columbia University. He currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.
