Annie Sanders

Annie Sanders serves as Director of Shareholder Advocacy at Green Century Capital Management, an environmentally responsible mutual fund that combines a fossil fuel free investing strategy with award-winning shareholder advocacy and support of environmental nonprofits to deliver impact. In her role, Annie oversees a team of shareholder advocates that leverages Green Century’s clout as a shareholder to drive companies to adopt more environmentally sustainable policies and practices.

Prior to joining Green Century, Annie served as Executive Director of Green Corps, the Field School for Environmental Organizing, from 2017-2022. During her 16 years at Green Corps, Annie played a key role in advancing national, statewide, and corporate campaigns to combat climate change, expand clean energy, promote land conservation and protect wildlife. Annie has trained hundreds of environmental organizers, advocates, and campaigners to run and win environmental, electoral, and citizen outreach campaigns since 2006.

Annie holds a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Chicago. She lives in Denver with her husband and two boys.
