Isabel Fernández Cruz has worked for Mighty Earth as a consultant since December 2022, mainly to support the negotiations and implementation of the EU legislation to tackle deforestationShe has more than twenty years of experience in public affairs, strategic planning, and political advocacy, both in the private sector and non-governmental organizations. Her work mainly focuses in food production, consumption and environmental issues, also in the development of sustainable public procurements. She has worked for the Spanish NGOs Ecologistas en Acción and Justicia Alimentaria, dairy and food company Calidad Pascual and as advisor in sustainable public procurement for Madrid’s Council and the Andalusian Agency of Agricultural and Fishing Management.Based in Madrid (Spain), she holds a Law Degree from the University of Salamanca,Spain.
